Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress, best known for her roles on TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has proven her range as an actress by giving remarkable performances in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7, and Under the Dome. Her performance in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to attract her the attention of viewers. But it was her role as Fannie Lou (a woman's advocate for women's rights) on the biographical All the Way film that brought her fame as an actor. Hind was also recognized by critics for her portrayal as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical show, the drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the series for a new season.
